Brand Equity Quiz to kick off Friday

IT’S TIME for corporates to don their battle gear for the biggest battle in the history of quizzing in India. That’s right, Idea presents The Brand Equity Quiz 2007, the biggest corporate quiz in Asia is back, and the race for the most coveted trophy in quizzing begins in March. While the Men in Blue battle it out in the Caribbean, India Inc will be readying for the month-long quizzing extravaganza spanning across various cities in India. The mega event kicks off on this Friday — March 9 2007 — and will travel all over the country pitting senior corporates, advertising creative and planners, bankers, engineers and software professionals against each other, in a race for a place in the grand finale to be held in Mumbai. And this time, we’ve added two new battlefields: Kochi and Indore are the newest cities to have their own regional rounds. The BEQ 2007 kick off in Ahmedabad on March 9, the Pune round follows immediately on March 10. The Quiz then goes on the road - east to Kolkata on March 13, and up north to Delhi on March 15. From there on, it’s southwards with the Bangalore round on March 20, Chennai on March 21, Hyderabad on March 22 and Kochi on March 26. Mumbai will play host to its contest on March 29, and the regional rounds wind up in Indore on March 31. The finalists at the regional rounds will fight for the ultimate glory in the finals to be held in Mumbai. Like it always is, the Brand Equity Quiz 2007 promises to be high on adrenaline and close finishes — and we promise that won’t be just for the contestants. The audience will have plenty of chances to jump in — with audience rounds, and more importantly, dozens of audience prizes! So for all of you gearing up, remember to get your heavy artillery — friends and supporters — along to cheer you on. There’s a lot at stake, after all: the winners of the national finals will drive away in a brand new Ford Ikon. The Brand Equity Quiz 2007 is presented by IDEA, and the grand prize sponsor is Ford Ikon. The airline sponsor is Kingfisher Airlines and the event is powered by Indiatimes.com. The associate partners are Times Now and Radio Mirchi and the official time partner is Pierre Cardin. The innovation partner is Wipro.
