Bajaj Auto’s March bike sales down 10%

The country’s second largest two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Sunday reported a 10% dip in motorcycle sales during March this year to 1,65,524 units compared to 1,83,927 units in the same month a year ago. The company’s motorcycle sales during fiscal year 2006-07, however, jumped 24% at 23,76,518 units compared to 19,12,224 units a year ago, Bajaj said, adding it is targeting a 10% growth in sales volume during this fiscal to touch 3-million units. Bajaj Auto's total two and three-wheeler sales in March also fell by 9% at 1,92,562 units.
